We have a friend
in God,
He listens to us all
No problem of the heart is ever to big or small
In the midst of weakness
He is ready to share
Every heartfelt sorrow
To keep us from despair
He sees every sadness
Keeps unwept tears at bay
Always there to guide us and see us through each day
When we leave ourselves safely in his care
We feel his gentle comfort upon life’s thoroughfare
Giving us the strength to rise above all trials
Knowing in our hearts we only need to pray
And he will help us overcome whatever comes our way
God gives us countless blessings
God gives us a gift of grace
God keeps us safe and sound
In a very special place
He wraps us in his love
He is always present in our lives
Not just in Heaven, high above
And when we stumble sometimes or if something doesn’t seem clear
Just call upon his name “Heavenly Father” for he is always near.
May God be with you and your Family Mr. Sawh
Blessing of
peace and love to All.

Our
deepest sympathy to all the families of the innocent victims--Minister Sawh,
his brother's family, sister's family, and the family of Mr. Robertson, the
security guard working hard for an honest living. Also, our condolences to
Mr. Sawh's party, the PPP.
May the forces of peace and love destroy the forces of darkness and evil.
In these dark times, may our good Lord give you strength and comfort to cope with your sorrow. We appreciate Minister Sawh's sacrifice, his dedicated public service to our country and his role in restoring democracy to Guyana. May the innocent victims rest in peace.
May
the people of Guyana stand strong and unite against the destroyers.

Robertson families on the brutal slayings of their loved ones. We also wish
that those who were injured would recovery fully and quickly from their injuries.
I would also like to sympathise with all who have lost loved ones or suffered as a result of this senseless crime spree that has descended on our native land.
I have known Sash since the early days of the overseas struggle to restore
democracy to Guyana. He made many friends during and after the struggle. He
will be missed.

It with deep and
heart wrenching sadness that we extend condolences to the families of all
whose loved ones were brutally murdered along with our much loved and admired
Minister Sash Sawh.
Sash Sawh was a true Guyanese Patriot. He was a dedicated and selfless fighter for freedom and democracy in Guyana while residing in Toronto. His contribution was second to none and for this he was recognized in a call to serve his government and people – a service he faithfully and dutifully performed.
Sash was one of our finest and all who came to know and admire him will dearly miss him. May his family take comfort in knowing that an entire people at home in Guyana and abroad mourns with them, for their loss is also ours.
May his soul and all those who perished with him have a restful place.

On
behalf of my grieving and perturbed family, I would like to express my sincerest
and compassionate condolences to the Sawh family and the Robertson family
in this unprecedented and untimely period of bereavement. I would also like
to wish those who sustained injuries, a speedy recovery. When I attended the
State Funeral service of the late Minister of Education, Vincent Teekah at
the National Park, the late President Forbes Burnham remarked,
“The assassins will pay severely for this foul deed that they have done.” I sincerely hope that these assassins will be brought to justice and indeed pay for this heinous and barbaric crime, despite the controversy of the motive(s). I would like all Guyanese to be cognizant of the time during which this tragedy occurred, and under the circumstances.
I would also like to remind the Guyanese people to unite and be stronger against the forces that seek to undermine democracy and to heed President Jagdeo’s call to divulge any information that may be useful in bringing these criminals to justice.
I
would like the Guyanese people to call on the US and Canadian embassies to
take note of the forces that are trying to thwart the efforts of the Carter
Centre in the restoration of democracy in Guyana and the efforts of President
Bush in promoting democracy worldwide.

Sat,I can
Remenber the First day of School when we met, we became close friends for
life, It was back in dark days of the mid 60's when we started High Scool
at (Marnite)Indians, we were Class Mates and We remained class mates for the
next 5 years. many of those years we sitting next to each other, We Played
Cricket and Ping Pong Together, we studied and we both supported the same
cause all our lives.
Sat, I
was proud to have you as a true life long friends, Now that you have gone
my friend, I hope it's time that the "Idiots who we know wake up and smell
the coffee " .... before their Ignorance, Selfishness and lack of Political
Maturiturity bring the Fruadulent and Illegal PNC back to rule and Destroy
Guyana. I remember your disgust with the Unbelievable things going on, lets
both hope some good changes happen quickly, and all the things you stood and
fight for during your entire life become a reality. Farewell My friend, may
god bless you for all the Great things you have done for the People and this
Great Country of ours.

I
would like to express my sincerest condolences to the Sawh and the Robertson
family during this time of great pain and sadness. As a Guyanese and a Canadian,
this news brought tears at the loss a great son who loved his country and
decided his life by serving it with honesty and pride.
Many years ago, I had the opportunity to share some wonderful moments with Mr. Sawh as we travelled to Ottawa during a planned protest for the restoration of democracy in Guyana. Mr. Shaw expressed in real terms, his love and hope for a democratic Guyana. I can still hear his voice ringing in my ears today. He will forever remain and Icon for those who love their country in words and deeds.
We must all rally around our brothers and sisters in Guyana and pray for peace and security.
Let us not forget Chapter 3, Text 21 of the Bhagavad Gita: "Whatever action
is performed by a great man, common man will follow in his footsteps. And
whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues" Mr. Sawh
was indeed such a man.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that swiftly blow.
I am the diamond glint
on newly fallen snow.
I am the sunlight
on ripened grain.
I am the soft and gentle autumn rain
When you wake from sleep in the early morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft, starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
With God's Blessings
Radha, (Toronto)
My deepest sympathy
to all the families of the innocent victims.
Those we love
are never really lost to us
we feel them in so many special ways
through friends they always cared about
and dreams they left behind,
in beauty that they added to our days...
in words of wisdom we still carry with us
and memories that never will be gone...
Those we love are never really lost to us--
for everywhere their special love lives on.
Just to let you know
how very sorry I am
Those who live in the hearts of others
Never die.

Death of a Comrade
Death must not find us thinking that we die. Too soon, too soon our banner
draped for you. I would prefer the banner in the wind Not bound so tightly
in a scarlet fold not sodden sodden with your people's tears but flashing
on the pole we bear aloft down and beyond this dark dark lane of rags
Dear Comrade if it must be you speak no more with me nor smile no more with me then let me take a patience with a calm for even now the greener leaf explodes sun brightens stone and all the river burns. Now from the mourning vanguard moving on dear Comrade I salute you and say Death will not find us thinking that we die
(Martin Carter in Poems of Resistance, 1954
Of all the ministers in the PPP govt,Sash was the one who identified with its base and the masses more than any other. He lived to serve and he did this as a superb human being.
He served his people and his country and he paid the ultimate price. Let us not waver for his cause is our cause and his vision ours. The struggle must go on and we should not falter from our goal.A nation mourns you and salutes you ,for you are a shining example of the best in us .
Rest in Peace.

Our sincere condolences
to the members of the Sawh and Robertson families for their loss. It is indeed
a dark time for you as well as for our country as it is being ravaged by unknown
criminals as they seek to break our dignity and patriotism.
The loss which we have suffered by these marauders is indeed cruel and most painful. Let us lend each other strength that we may be able to garner courage to fight our oppressors.
To ensure that they are made to tread a righteous and sinless path by capturing them and trying them at court so they may be made to pay for this sinfully cruel act.
May the departed
souls find peace and may we find comfort in their memories and great deeds.

Our
deepest sympathy and prayers to Mrs.Shaw, family and relatives.
To the Robertson family especially his children. May almighty God grant each and everyone of you suffering at this time of loss his grace and strength to go on without your loved ones, who was brutially taken away in such a horrific manner.
Mr. President how many more of our Guyanese brothers and sisters have to be murdered and taken away from their families and friends before those murderers can be brought to justice and our people live without fear and frustration.
If the Police Commissioner and his men cannot find those criminals yet (Agricola massacare) what are they still doing in office?
The Canadian and American Governments should also get into this big time and help solve this problem because they are partly to be blame for this new outragious terrior raging in our country now for all the criminals the sent back there.
May
Almighty God bless and guard our beautiful land of Guyana and its people.
